UNEXMIN GeoRobotics at Mining Indaba 2026 – Strengthening Our Position in African Mineral Exploration

From 9–12 February 2026, UNEXMIN GeoRobotics Ltd. participated in Mining Indaba 2026 in Cape Town, one of the most important forums for the African mining and mineral exploration sector. With over 11,000 participants representing exploration companies, producers, investors and technical service providers, Indaba remains a central meeting point for Africa-focused projects.

A Clear Technical Identity in the African Market

Over the past five years, our operational focus has increasingly concentrated on data-driven mineral exploration in Africa, particularly lateritic gold systems.

At Mining Indaba 2026, our primary objective was targeted networking and relationship building. We focused on scheduled meetings, technical discussions and direct engagement with exploration companies, investors, laboratories and project decision-makers.

In these discussions, we presented our structured exploration methodology, built on:

    • stage-based, decision-driven exploration workflows
    • integration of geological, geochemical, geophysical and drilling data
    • 3D geological modelling and resource definition
    • NI 43-101 and JORC-aligned reporting capability

The response confirmed strong demand for technically disciplined, risk-aware partners capable of bridging early-stage fieldwork and defensible mineral resource definition.

From Licence Scale to Mineral Resource

Our conversations frequently addressed how exploration programs can systematically reduce geological uncertainty while maintaining capital efficiency.

UNEXMIN’s phased workflow narrows focus step-by-step, from licence-scale evaluation to defined mineral resources under the NI 43-101 framework, providing clear technical milestones and structured decision points.

Our lateritic gold project in Mali served as a practical example of this approach, including technical campaign planning, supervision of geochemical and drilling programs, 3D modelling and resource estimation.

    Looking Ahead

Mining Indaba 2026 strengthened our professional network across the continent and reinforced our confidence in the relevance of our integrated, end-to-end exploration model.

On the final day, we had a brief opportunity to explore the natural surroundings of Cape Town, including Lion’s Head, Camps Bay and Table Mountain. Experiencing the region’s outstanding geology provided a fitting closure to an intensive and productive week focused on Africa’s mineral future.
