UNEXMIN GeoRobotics

In 2021, UNEXUP’s last commercial field mission was at the Solotvyno salt mine in Ukraine. This mission was conducted in three stages. The operators and technological developers visited the mission site in June, November, and December of the given year, the purpose of which was to create an accurate map, collect water samples, and measure the water chemistry of the shafts and lakes. The robot was able to map both vertically and horizontally, reaching a depth of 435 meters at a pressure of 47.5 bar, the highest yet for the current model. During one of the dives, the UX-1Neo robot detected the transition to a saturated zone, which was captured by the visible light cameras. This mission was the most demanding yet for UNEXUP, but it showed the impressive capabilities of the UX-1Neo and its operators to work in challenging underwater conditions.
